===== What is/should be the relationship between an SCL’s standoff distance, and the platform’s sensor range? =====

The computed detection distance of the platform’s sensor is dependent upon the RCS of the target BSE/type.  Since the sensor has user-defined parameters for max range and M2 (meter-squared) range, the detection distance for a target of a given RCS can be calculated.  If this detection distance is less than the standoff distance for the SCL, the Flight will not be able to detect the target or adjudicate against it.
