Even though it looks like a user selectable check box, it is simple a feedback mechanism to the user.  It means BSEs of the type mapped to the Category Code listed in the JAOP task exist and Are Playing.  If no BSEs of the applicable type exist, then the box will be unchecked as a signal to the user.  Note that there is no geographical calculation to establish whether BSEs of that type exist //in that area//.
