How does an SCL’s standoff distance and the platform’s sensor range affect "standoff" targeting?

First of all, as a reminder, review [here-] (FAQ 39) for a description of standoff distance for SCLs. In order to be able to adjudicate, the Flight must be able to detect (using its sensors) the target BSE/type from the appropriate standoff distance, and the target BSE/type must be within the 10 km [glimpse-] (FAQ 54) radius of the point (coordinates) for which the target was planned. If the Flight cannot detect the target BSE/type from the standoff distance, it will not be able to adjudicate. [Note: It won’t technically “retain” its munitions, since the adjudicator isn’t actually invoked. However, since the effect is the same, a future enhancement of the Adj A2G Muns Ret instrument will report that the munitions were retained and provide the reason].

If the platform’s sensors were not turned on (via the Sensor Profiles), they will be explicitly used anyway.
