what triggers 'Transform Required'?
compares versionName from scenario data to sim version after stripping trailing letters from sim version.
then it compares sim version to the hci version which is assumed to be the highest.
trailing letters are stripped from the hci version

kill all jars on 6520, then recreate from gui and test import/export
test new import/export panes
put dmacq in eventLog mods
put uac and firewall back on chuck's machine
do a jas64.zip of progFile\jas on 6520 to use on win 10 machine
rename jas.zip jas86.zip and store
update all scenarions on 6520.
do full expdp from 6520.
See if I can virtualize Chuck's machine for future use

Win10 can be reset from within
Acronis 2011 will not work on Win 10
I have Acronis 14 but it is an upgrade, cannot creaet usb, and cannot find key.
Win 7 will install Oracel 10 in compatibility mode.
Win 10 seemed to install it but then had two sets of Oracle keys in the registry, then next time had none and got ora-01019 error.
Copying Chuck's zip ro progfilesx86/jas and starting jacs and env start up jas
Oracle 12c is 64 bit, Jas cannot talk to it.
This (https://docs.oracle.com/database/121/SUTIL/GUID-BAA3B679-A758-4D55-9820-432D9EB83C68.htm#SUTIL110) says that impdp can always read previous versions of expdp.
Plan is to install Oracle 11 which is 32 bit.
Installed Oracel 11 32 bit thne did impdp using 10g data.
Copied Chuck Vista install of progfilesx86/jas and started services.
Had the usual terrible time with access.bt.
Got AbtError after entering jwar/password to import a scenario.
ran system.02.roles.sql which creates user jwarsdb_role.
ran grant jwarsdb_role to jwars from system.03.jwars.
can now import scenarios
got gMajorMinorHas when cloning a run def. fixing jas permissions fixed the problem.
Getting “at capacity” errors. set all of jas and its subDirs to not read only, AND added Jas to the path.

Chuck's machine has only 7.5 installed so no Win7 w*.icx images came from it.

why do i have sim packaged images in twodifferent outpu directories?
after reboot, sim 8/28/2018 size 27569 from packaged starts then stops and is still in queue.

tried variations of this: C:\ProgramData\Jas\jacs>“C:\Program Files (x86)\Jas\abt.exe” -iwhadmintool.icx - ini:vmcfg.ini -nosplash -no_break -h. nada.
cannot find admin tool source.
TODO install jwars in xp vm and look at admin command line.
whci was looking for libslac.dll in progdata/jas. error message suggested a setting for SlacLibrary under [Resources] in jas.ini.
copied libslac.dll from progfiles86/jas to progdata/jas/client, and launcher come up. updated nsis data.
the wHci from 5/19 opens the launcher but blows up trying to run a scenario.
the wHci from 12/2/10 of size 38054 is probably the original one becasue it blows up tryin to write to Windows logs.
Running AJH Sea Viking with all 24 hours OPEN blows up right away with no jacs.log entry and nothing left in scheduled or executing.
Running AJH Sea Viking with all 24 hours OPEN as Admin never connects to display. jacs.log shows it completes right away but it is left in scheduled. same thing happens after clean restart.
conclusion is that admin is a problem. problem solved by making progdata/jas/client writable. updated nsis
sim still starts and then stop 5 seconds later but is still in the pending queue.
making all of progData and progFiles writable makes no difference. making progData\jas\client writable is enough.
Neither of the two latest hci packaging maps will load into 9.1
Not sure how or where I created the “new” hci.exes.
9.1 is 413.
save the 9.1 icx file and install 9.0
save the whics that have been packaged along with yheir file location. test them and try to recreate them

moved 3 wh*.exe from progData to progFiles in nsis
chuck's machine never connected.
jacs.log showed that -j and -e had ip addresses of 10.0.0.* instead of 127.0.0.1.
Disconnect all network including wifi and all is well.
works with 5/25/2019 whci.icx too which has a size of 39965. Recreate This.
The sim icx on Chuck;s machine that works is dare 9/30/2010 and is 26072, but may not be the original!
Trying a whSim created 5/19/2019 of size 23590.
The above whSim Does Not Work. Gets to Begin Simulation and freezes.

6/2019 has password removed from import/export pane but is other wise unknown crap.
jso image has 8/2018 jso loaded but fails to find jacs on startup
running new hci packaged 5/29/2019 from installed sjortcut fails connecting to oracle. output goes to walkback.lo0. get message box sayinn “MISSING MxKRN34”. trying to connect to jas not JAS10. unclear where it gets this setting.
running original hci does pick up JAS10 but JAS10 is followed by a Nul. running new is also picking up JAS10 fillowed by a Nul, so maybe what was needed was a Jacs restart.
Neither of the latest Jas Packaging HCI maps load in sim/clean. The open edition of 9/25/2018 does load, so it was probably used for latest packaging.
It does look like we are using AbtOracle10DatabaseManager in the HCI
Oracle db name is jas. sqlplus JWARS/password@jas works. jas and JAS both work.
The problem is that Oracle is version 12 64 bit! Dumbass.

jacs has no refs to password (case insensitive)

6520 machine needed progfilex86\jas\bin added to path. sims now work.
to get to win7 - 1) kill windows logging 2) fix permissions 3) add path

hci ask the jacs for what icx files are available.
the jacs looks in its current dir for '*hSIM*.icx'
then it runs whSIM.exe (abt.exe) with the -report option on each icx.
this command is logged in jacs.log, but the results are not.
the sim report its version number to the jacs. it detects files named *.icx that are not really images.
this is logged in simvm.log
this does not work on the 6520 machine

new hci works on 6520 when you run Jas as admin.
fixed Jas privileges and admin no longer needed.
hci takes its version number from the hci config map name.
jacs looks for icx files in the jacs director
no sim versions showing up on 6520.
tried running jacs as jas to get admin right but no luck.

Can now package 3.20 HCI on Win 7 and it works on Chuck's machine.
Latest Jas Packaging Instructions did not contain latest apps, so JwvSimRunInfo was not being packaged.
Packaged new HCI using latest instructions (3.21) and code that no-op windows log messages.
Works on Chuck's machine. On the 6520 Win7, it gets past log error but then blows up when you click on a run definition with bMajorHash. Try an install of JAS run as admin.
The HCI takes the config map version and then looks for a sim with the same version. This is done in answerAvailableSimulationVersionsByHost. Solution is to run with the 3.20 sim that it sees.
Find out where and how it is finding sims. See JwrSimImageConfig.
Copied jasClean.icx to Win7 and got not an image.

Installed 7.5 on Win7 VM.
Won't run in environments.
Must start image as admin.
re-packaged sim and it works on the 6420 machine.
No-opped all methods in JwarsEventLog and saved as 3.21.
Loaded map Jas Sim 3.21 with required maps and packaged.
Image ran fine on 6420 XP machine.
Got runtime error ExReportEventException: error reporting an event to the OS. Jas launcher did not start
The problem is in HCI not Sim.
Commented out all refs to JwarsEventLog and repackaged HCI using latest Jas pacakaging instructions
Got past ExReportEventException and Jas Launcher started. Died with bMajorHash on 6520 Win7 machine.
bMajorHash went away on Chuck's machine after a good JAS install. Do not think it is code.
New HCI died on the XP machine when starting a run with an error in JwgSimulationCoordinator»buildRunHeaderInfoForScenarioData: because JwvSimRunInfo is missing
HCI was packaged 12/2/2010. Sim was 9/30/2010.
My latest 3.20 code probably has MySql which looks for special stuff in the ini file.

used acronis to backup 6520 win 7 machine
put acronis 6420 XP image on 6520.
could not connect to oracle
restored win7 image to 6520
copied jas dir
created jacs and env service
made win7 jas and vp shortcuts
installed oracle 11 32 bit
used impdp to restore entire database. no need to create tablespaces, users, etc.
jacs started and connected to Oracle but died writing Windows logs
Oracle is now case sensitive to username and password.
look for instances of jwars and password in the code

latest jas development is done on win7_x64 VM
Chuck was getting the message :“No hosts are available for Sim Version [R20.SR320]. \Simulation added to scheduled queue” on the the Win 7 Dell machine. What this means is that JACS is looking for an icx named wmSIM.R20.SR320 in the Jacs directory, and the Win7 Dell machine did not have one.

change ini file to write to ProgramData: MessageLogFile=c:\ProgramData\jas\environment.log ← use long name!

How to create a physical machine from a vm
tried to do the rename after installing dummy Jas files (after the creation of user jwars, roles, etc.) but got multiple errors.
got chuck's vista machine which has jas in oracle 10g. got an export of jas data.
installed oracle 10g on the xp machine. got many ora-12514 errors. solution was to change listener.ora. see z: xpLaptop for the file
to recreate the table spaces, you must first run droptb.sql, and then delete the .dbg files manually
on a jas retry, createrole2, createjwars3, and create4roles will throw an error but work because the creation of these objects is not affected by the recreation of the table spaces.
imp failed because of key problems. IIRC, the solution is to modify the new user scripts and move the create index statements to a separate sql file. did this in z: xpLaptop
sqlplus / as sysdba @some.sql > someOutput.log works
