  * jasDevJso is broken. it calls the __packaged sim__ instead of running in the open image. this can be seen in the jacs log **WRONG**
  * problem was specifying a //packaged image// in the run def under the developer tab instead of an open image.

  * Running with all instruments blows up with "too many open cursors"
  * This code shows that Oracle is started with an spfile
  * <code>SELECT DECODE(value, NULL, 'PFILE', 'SPFILE') "Init File Type" 
       FROM sys.v_$parameter WHERE name = 'spfile';</code>
  * There is an "open_cursors=300" in C:\app\Jas\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\database\SPFILEJAS.ORA
  * This file does not have even read permissions and cannot be edited.
  * You can view it from an admin shell by typing it.
  * Start sqlplus with //sys/jwars as sysdba//
  * //shutdown;//
  * //create pfile from spfile;//
  * edit pfile and change open_cursors=500
  * save pfile
  * //create spfile from pfile;//
  * quit sqlplus
  * type the spfile to confirm changes

  * Instantiations replied leave off the server: "jas" which is in the jacs.ini.
  * restored the 14 Oracle map, re-packaged, and hci and sim run.

  * emailed Instantiations
  * got the rest of the JAS maps exported from 9.2 and imported into 14.0.0.

  * hci 14 gets Ora-12154 - TNS could not resolve the connect identifier specified
  * current version of //AbtOracle8DatabaseManager>>connectToDataSourceNamed: aDataSourceName logonSpec: aLogonSpec promptEnabled: aBoolean ifError: anErrorBlock// is the problem.
  * created AbtDbmOracleBaseApp V 14.0.0 [573].1 with previous version.
  * updated DK - All Oracle, DK - All Oracle XD, DK - Jacs Oracle, and DK - Oracle Back End which is unused. 
  * updated and repackaged HCI, Sim, Jacs, Env, and VP. All work.

  * hci 14 cannot connect to Oracle. hci 13 can.
  * vp 14 cannot find map, then blows up looking for geoviewer.dll.
  * vp 9.2 from 1/24 runs ok with no explicit path in ini file
