• m6800 would not boot.
• tried fixboot /mbr etc.
• got all data backed up to synology
• tried ventoy created on linux mint but it was missing an unnamed driver.
• used woeUSB and got error “Windows cannot be installed to this disk” which means your PC is in UEFI mode but the disk is formatted as MBR, or vice-versa
• m6800 does have an MBR
• solution is to convert disk to GPT

On the disk selection screen where the error appears, press Shift + F10 to open the Command Prompt.
Type diskpart and press Enter.
Type list disk and press Enter to see your drives.
Type select disk X (replace X with your disk number, usually 0) and press Enter.
Type clean and press Enter to erase all data.
Type convert gpt and press Enter to convert the disk.
Type exit and press Enter, then exit Command Prompt.
Select the unallocated space and click Next to install.

• small screw for dvd drive is in the top drawer of the tv stand.

• parts-people.com, using my service tag, did not find a bluetooth adapter

• 7760 had numeric keypad, 3 internal SSD slots, and main memory behind the keyboard.

• use wmic bios get serialnumber to get Dell service tag which is G087RC2.
• cpu is Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4710MQ CPU @ 2.50GHz which is NOT upgradeable
• cpu bench is 5801
• takes ddr3 1333 memory ← check this
• what is the difference between 1333 and 1600? internet says not worth doing
