• change indirect.ext to indirect and converted .xls to xlsx
• created a macro (ctrl-o) to open the links referenced in consolidatedDaily.xlsm.

• use indirect.ext to get data from closed spreadsheets

• =INDIRECT.EXT("[prices.xls]"& "ArmModelVan2" & "!" & a1)

• From the spreadsheet prices.xls and the worksheet ArmModelVan2, get the value in the cell A1 in the current sheet
• the whole thing is '[prices.xls]ArmModelVan2!A1 because the value in A1 in the current sheet is A1
• I cannot figure out how to quote A1 directly
